Guests will have the opportunity to participate in an optional hands-on team building activity, helping to assemble personal hygiene kits to be donated to an LGBT youth-specific transitional housing facility.
Our Missions
The Personal Stories Project
Personal stories are the most powerful tool we have to erase fear, give hope, and unite people. To that end, our mission is pretty simple and straight-forward: we collect and share stories from members of the LGBT community and our allies to help change hearts, minds, and lives. We promote activism, advocacy and support for our community through the sharing of personal stories and connect our readers with other charities that are meaningful to those that have had the courage to share their own personal stories. www.personalstoriesproject.org
One Million Kids for Equality
One Million Kids for Equality works to engage, educate, and empower LGBTQ youth and the children of LGBTQ parents to speak out about the issues that affect their daily lives. We work with a diverse group of partner organizations, youth and their allies around the world to help elevate their stories and create change in legislatures, courts, and most importantly hearts and minds. We believe that through sharing stories, youth are able to harness the power of the personal story and use it to create awareness and positive change for all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Questioning (LGBTQ) people. www.onemillionkids.org
